GROUP HYPNOSIS – Enter Hypnosis Together, Experience It Individually

TOGETHER – while still fully connected to yourself.

When we think of hypnosis, we often imagine a one-to-one setting:One person is being hypnotized, while another guides them through the experience.

But hypnosis can also take place in a group – and this is precisely where a unique quality can emerge.

Group hypnosis combines the shared experience of being part of a group with a deeply personal inner process. Although everyone hears the same words, each person experiences the hypnosis in their own individual way.

WHAT IS GROUP HYPNOSIS?

In group hypnosis, several people are guided into a hypnotic state at the same time. It combines a clearly guided hypnotic process with the unique power that can arise from experiencing it together as a group.

Hypnosis does not mean giving up control or being “away.” Rather, it is a state of focused attention in which external stimuli often become less important and awareness is directed more strongly inward.

You may recognize similar moments from everyday life: You become completely absorbed in a book, a film, or an activity and only later realize how quickly time has passed. Hypnosis makes use of this natural ability to focus attention and encourage inner processes.

HOW CAN GROUP HYPNOSIS STILL BE AN INDIVIDUAL EXPERIENCE.

Imagine ten people listening to the same piece of music. They all hear the same notes – and yet ten different experiences emerge. One person may remember a particular moment, another may feel a sense of calm, someone else may get goosebumps, while another person mainly notices the rhythm.

Group hypnosis can be very similar.

The same words and impulses are offered to everyone, but what arises internally is unique to each individual. Every person brings their own experiences, needs, ideas, and inner images into the process.

The group walks through the same door together – but each person discovers their own inner landscape beyond it.

HOW DOES GROUP HYPNOSIS WORK.

During hypnosis, attention can become more focused on inner perceptions, imagination, and desired changes. Suggestions and verbal impulses can provide inspiration that each person can relate to their own individual situation.

Not every suggestion has to carry the same meaning for everyone. A word such as “calm” might mean physical relaxation for one person, distance from racing thoughts for another, and for someone else the feeling of reconnecting with themselves.

It is precisely this openness that allows a jointly guided hypnosis session to become a deeply personal experience.

WHY EXPERIENCE HYPNOSIS IN A GROUP.

The group is more than simply the setting for the hypnosis. It can become part of the experience itself.

As human beings, we naturally respond to the people around us. When we notice a sense of calm developing in the room and experience several people engaging in the same process at the same time, it may make it easier to allow ourselves to engage with the experience as well.

There is nothing you have to achieve, nothing you have to share, and no need to compare yourself with anyone else. Everyone experiences their own hypnosis – while at the same time having the sense of not walking this path alone.

This can be particularly appealing for people who would like to experience hypnosis for the first time or who are curious about what it feels like to enter such a state together with others.

WHAT CAN YOU TAKE AWAY FROM THE EXPERIENCE.

The potential benefits of group hypnosis always depend on the theme of the particular session and on the individual. A session may, for example, be designed to encourage relaxation, help you become more aware of your inner resources, strengthen confidence, or support a desired process of change from within.

One thing is essential: BEING PART OF A GROUP DOES NOT MEAN EVERYONE HAS THE SAME EXPERIENCE.

You do not have to see, feel, or experience the same things as the person next to you. Some people experience vivid inner images, others notice physical sensations or thoughts, while some simply experience a pleasant sense of calm. The depth and intensity of the experience can also vary from person to person.

There is therefore no “right” way to experience hypnosis and nothing specific that you have to achieve.

TOGETHER – while still fully connected to yourself.

Perhaps this is exactly what makes group hypnosis so special: People with different stories, wishes, and expectations come together. For a certain amount of time, they collectively turn their attention inward.

The words are the same. The group is the same. But what emerges from the experience belongs to each individual.

We look forward to welcoming you!
